mislead Punjabis with a false narrative about a BMW Plant in Mandi Gobindgarh
In a statement released here, senior SAD leader Bikram Singh Majithia said it was shocking that after making false claims on investment by BMW company, which had refuted the government’s assertion immediately, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was trying to mislead Punjabis that BMW company was interested in investing in the State and now parts for its vehicles would be manufactured in Punjab.
Majithia said fact of the matter was that officials of “Modern Automatives” had met the Chief Minister yesterday and they had informed him that they had orders to manufacture parts from Germany.
He said in a cheap publicity stunt, the chief minister had seized the opportunity to claim that BMW parts would be manufactured in Punjab and that thousands of youth would get employment.“The truth is that the company has enough employees to fulfill requisite orders”.
Majithia urged the chief minister to shun his habit of making false claims and instead try to work sincerely for the welfare of Punjabis
