New Delhi: We have witnessed some of the top segments recently, but last night’s RAW on Netflix produced a rather exciting and heated confrontation between two of the hottest selling characters in WWE right now. It all started when Drew McIntyre managed to beat Sami Zayn after a top notch match-up between the two. However, the Scottish Psychopath wasn’t done there as he didn’t stop beating Sami even after the match ended before Cody Rhodes ran towards the ring to save his friend Sami from a brutal attack. After Cody came in the aid of Sami Zayn, a few round of shots were shared between Drew and him before the American Nightmare hit him with a Cody cutter.
As expected, Kevin Owens was there to interrupt and take his blind sighting shot at Cody, before a brawl took place where Cody was cornered by Drew. Sami unintentionally caught Cody with a Helluva Kick at the corner, as he was trying to save him from Drew, much like he did with Seth Rollins in the previous show. The cunning duo of Drew and Kevin left the ring, as KO sarcastically patted Sami before leaving, as Sami was left devastated.

Cody was clearly left frustrated after that kick, and it was clearly not the Helluva Kick that caused the drudtration. He took the mic in agony and he didn’t hold back, taking shots at his Royal Rumble opponent and former friend, Kevin Owens. He said that he was fed-up with all those sneak attacks and the disrespect from Owens. It seemed like another frustrating night as Cody kept on ranting before mentioning how deserving he is to hold those two titles, winning most number of matches, cutting the best promos and eventually stating that he is the ‘Best in the World.’
The moment those words came out of his mouth, the true owner of those lines came out of the curtain to confront the American Nightmare. Well let’s just say that it wasn’t a pleasant news for Cody, as CM Punk was there to add further miseries for him. CM Punk was there to let him know that he is an actual ‘friend’ and that all of those fake ones he has had, stabbed him in the back, while he will be the one who stabs in from the front. As they had their confrontation, according to Punk, the good news for Cody would be that there will be “somebody” climbing up the ranks and win the Royal Rumble to headline Wrestlemania and face Cody for the title after he is done with Kevin Owens.
When asked about the “bad news”, Cody got a rather blunt answer when Punk stated that “somebody” would be him. Cody, who wasn’t shocked further added that he “hopes” that it is Punk who wins the Rumble and face him at Wrestlemania, so he can prove that the “Best in the World” isn’t the best anymore.
