New Delhi: Coco Gauff on Wednesday became the youngest woman to claim 25 main draw wins at Roland Garros since Martin Hingis after storming into the French Open semifinals. Gauff got the better off fellow American player Madison Keys 6-7, 6-4, 6-1 in a contest which saw her rule in the second and third set after going down in the first.
With the semifinal entry at the French Open, its the second consecutive time that Gauff has made it into the semis in Paris. This is her third semifinal entry at the Roland Garros in the last four years as she continues her dominance at the clay court. Also, it was the fifth career Grand Slam semifinal for the 21-year-old tennis sensation.
