Alfredo Pasta with Broccoli and Mushroom

Classic Creamy sauce Pasta tossed in a rich sauce made with parmesan cheese, cream, mushrooms, broccoli, and seasoning.

Alfredo Pasta ingredients:

  • 75 gm of raw Pasta (Penne, Fusilli, Spaghetti, or any other pasta of your choice)
  • 10 ml olive oil
  • 25 gm of butter
  • 200 ml fresh Cream
  • 30 gm Button Mushroom
  • 30 gm of Broccoli
  • 15 gm chopped garlic
  • Seasonings such as salt, pepper
  • Parmesan cheese

Preparation:

  1. Cook Pasta – Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add your pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente (slightly firm). Once the pasta is cooked strain the pasta into an empty colander. Add the olive oil to the cooked pasta and mix to avoid pasta from sticking to each other. Don’t throw the water which is used to boil pasta.
  2. Cut the broccoli into small pieces and rinse them in salted water to remove impurities, worms etc. Add the broccoli to the water in which the pasta was boiled and cook the same for 4 to 5 min. or until the broccoli is slightly cooked. Strain the broccoli and keep it aside.
  3. Saute the mushrooms – Take a pan add 10 gms of butter and saute the mushrooms. Add a pinch of salt and cook it until the mushroom is slightly cooked. Remove from the pan and keep it with the broccoli.

Method:

  • Add butter to the pan and add the chopped garlic. Saute till slightly golden colour.
  • And the mushroom and broccoli. Saute for a minute.
  • Add the cream and bring it to a boil.
  • Add seasoning of salt & pepper.
  • Add the boiled pasta.
  • Gently stir to coat the pasta with the cream sauce.
  • Sprinkle the Parmesan and serve.
