New Delhi: The next episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show seems to be full of excitement after OTT platform Netflix released the promo of the episode on October 2, Wednesday. The next episode is set to feature the T20 World Cup-winning Indian team, who will be sharing the post-win moments with the host Kapil Sharma. It looks like a perfect off-field partnership between cricket and comedy.
The promo released by Netflix begins with the entry of skipper Rohit Sharma, star of the T20 World Cup final Suryakumar Yadav and Arshdeep Singh. All-rounder Axar Patel and fierce batter Shivam Dube, who represents the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) side in the Indian Premier League (IPL), are also in attendance. The promo begins with host Kapil asking how appearing on the show last time with batter Rohit Sharma led to Indian team clinching the trophy.
Perfect blend of cricket and comedy
Skipper Rohit humorously replies how being on the comedy show increased their ratings, to which audience is left in splits. In some of the short clips from the promo teaser, the team is seen playing charades and making an attempt to imitate famous team members like Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni and pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah.
