New Delhi: The 33rd edition of the Summer Olympics will see a one-of-a-kind opening ceremony. For the first time in the history of the Olympics, the opening ceremony will not be held in a stadium. Instead, the grand ceremony will happen on a river. July 25 will mark the beginning of the Paris Olympics and what better way to kick off the sporting celebrations than turning a river into a stadium and transforming the whole city into a gigantic stadium?
The opening ceremony will witness an army of boats carrying over 200 delegations of athletes in the river Seine with thousands of spectators lining up to watch their favourite athletes from either side of the waterway. In other words, the entire city will turn into a vast Olympic stadium.
