New Delhi: David Miller and Heinrich Klaasen have returned to South Africa’s T20I set up for the upcoming four-match series against India scheduled to be played at home next month. Many other T20 World Cup players will return to the fold with the likes of Keshav Maharaj and Marco Jansen included in the 16-member squad announced by the Cricket South Africa (CSA) on Thursday.
Aiden Markram will continue to lead the squad and the Proteas will be boosted by the returns of Miller, Klaasen, and Jansen in their middle order after the trio didn’t feature in the T20I series against West Indies and Ireland.
Senior pacer Kagiso Rabada won’t be available for the four T20Is after being rested while Lungi Ngidi wasn’t considered as he was getting ready for the home Test series against Sri Lanka, starting on November 27. Pace bowler Lutho Sipamla has been named in the squad only for third and fourth T20Is.

Where are the four T20Is going to be played between South Africa and India?
South Africa will host India for four T20 Internationals before they play the much-anticipated Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The series will be held between November 8 and 15. This will be the first time the two teams will play against each other since their T20 World Cup 2024 title clash in Barbados in June, wherein India prevailed to lift their second title in the biennial event.
There are four different venues for this bilateral series with Durban (Kingsmead) to host the opener. The second match will move to Gqeberha (St George’s Park) before the two teams will travel to Centurion (SuperSport Park) for the third match. The Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg will host the final match on November 15.
