President Biden will deliver a prime-time speech, along with Dr. Jill Biden. The evening will also feature remarks from former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and a welcome address by Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson.
Tuesday’s Theme: “A Bold Vision for America’s Future”
Former President Barack Obama is set to speak, joined by second gentleman Doug Emhoff and a welcome from Illinois Governor JB Pritzker. Notably, former First Lady Michelle Obama will also take the stage, though her appearance was not listed in the official agenda.
Wednesday’s Theme: “A Fight for Our Freedoms”
Vice Presidential nominee Tim Walz will give his acceptance speech. This night will also include speeches by former President Bill Clinton, Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi, and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg.
Thursday’s Theme: “For Our Future”
Kamala Harris will formally accept the nomination for president. Additional speakers include Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries. Former President Jimmy Carter’s grandson, Jason Carter, is also expected to speak on behalf of his grandfather.
As delegates arrive on Monday, the United Center will be adorned with digital signage reading “History is in your hands” and “Spread the faith,” echoing Biden’s Oval Office address from July 24.
The convention promises a week filled with high-profile speeches and pivotal moments as the Democratic Party gears up for the upcoming election.
