New Delhi: Harleen Deol’s sensational century and a superb bowling performance led by Priya Mishra powered India to a crushing 115-run win over the West Indies in the second women’s ODI in Baroda. Harleen’s 115 off 103 balls and half-centuries from Prtaika Rawal and Smriti Mandhana helped India post a massive 358 for five – the join-highest total in their Indian women’s ODI history.
In reply, WI were bowled out for 243 in 46.2 overs, falling well short of the target, despite skipper Hayley Matthews’s superb 106-run knock.
Leg-spinner Priya Mishra was the pick of the Indian bowlers with superb figures of 3 for 49 in 9.2 overs. Deepti Sharma, Pratika Rawal and Titas Sadhu picked up two wickets apiece as India put on a stranglehold on West Indies’ chase.
India now lead the three-match series 2-0 with the third and final match scheduled for Friday, December 27.
