New Delhi: Jason Holder smashed three back-to-back sixes in the second T20I match between England and West Indies at the County Ground in Bristol on Sunday, June 8. Holder came out to bat after the dismissal of Romario Shepherd, who scored 34 runs off 15 balls.

Holder took on Adil Rashid in the 19th over of the match and smacked three consecutive maximums in the first three deliveries of the over. Rashid bowled a short delivery and Holder pummelled over deep square leg for a maximum.

In the second ball, he bowled a floaty  delivery and the West Indian all-rounder hammered it over long-on. He smashed a tossed delivery over long-on to complete the hat-trick of maximums. Romario Shepherd also smacked two sixes in the same over.

Powell, Holder power West Indies to 196/6

The West Indies managed to post a 197-run target on the scoreboard. Luke Wood removed Evin Lewis on the first ball of the match. After his dismissal, Shai Hope played attacking shots in the powerplay, but Johnson Charles struggled to score runs from the other end. Adil Rashid picked up his first wicket of the match and removed Shai Hope on 49 runs. The visitors lost quick wickets in the middle overs as Sherfane Rutherford and Charles struggled against England bowling line-up.

But explosive cameos from Rovman Powell (34 runs off 15 balls), Romario Shephard (19 runs off 11 balls) and Jason Holder (29* runs off 9 balls) helped the West Indies to post a good total on the scoreboard. Luke Wood picked up two wickets in the match, while Brydon Carse, Jacob Bethell and Adil Rashid took one wicket each. England leading the three-match T20I series by 1-0 after winning the first T20I by 21 runs. The Three Lions also whitewashed the Men in Maroon in the three-match ODI series.
