New Delhi: Mutual funds have turned out to be a very popular investment option for investors who are ready to take stock market-related risks. People who wish to invest in the market but don’t want to directly invest in stocks, prefer investing in MF schemes through SIP or LumpSum amount.
According to Economic Times, in the last three years, about 30 equity mutual funds have more than doubled the investment of investors.
HDFC Mid-Cap Opportunities Fund and Motilal Oswal Large and Midcap Fund increased the investment by 2.27 times and 2.23 times in the last three years. At the same time, depositors who pumped in money in Invesco India Midcap Fund and Edelweiss Mid Cap Fund, witnessed their deposits jumping by 2.15 times in the last three years. These schemes gave a CAGR of 29.09%.
Bandhan Small Cap Fund increased the investment by 2.33 times with a CAGR of 32.48%. Mutual Funds in the Small Cap category – Franklin India Smaller Cos Fund and Invesco India Small Cap Fund multiplied the investment by 2.13 times, while investments made in Nippon India Small Cap Fund recorded a growth of 2.14 times in the last three years. The lump sum deposits in Quant Small Cap Fund appreciated by 2.11 times.
The oldest ELSS fund, SBI Long Term Equity Fund, multiplied the lump sum deposit by 2.10 times in the last three years. The investments made in Nippon India Multi Cap Fund and Sundaram Mid Cap Fund recorded a CAGR of 28.15% during the same period.
Investments in two MF schemes – Invesco India Large & Mid Cap Fund and Invesco India Focused Fund, surged 2.03 times and 2.01 times, respectively.
