New Delhi: Dorobshokh Nabotov sparked everyone’s attention by asking for UFC contact in the UFC 308 press conference in October. Nabotov was undefeated before his UFC tryout fight and Dana White was impressed by his uniqueness in asking UFC contract.
Nabotov was scheduled to fight against Matheus Camilo at Chan Sung Jung’s Z Fight Night 2 in Goyang, South Korea on December 14, Saturday. The fight was in the lightweight division. In a hard-fought contest, Camilo defeated Nabotov via split decision.
With this win, Camilo earned a UFC contract. The announcement came on Sunday by UFC President Dana White. White stated that Nabotov impressed him with his mic skills but during his fight, he looked one-dimensional fighter.
UFC former fighter The Korean Zombie was also not impressed with Nabotov’s performance. He found a lot of problems in Nabotov and Nabotov was also threatening to pull out of the fight.
White didn’t attend Chan Sung Jung’s Z Fight Night 2 due to South Korea entering martial law. The fight was a part of “Dana White: Lookin for a Fight” episode.

“I picked the other guy (Camilo), he won the fight and he looked damn good doing it. He was the better, well-rounded fighter.” White said.
Camilo is now on a six-fight win streak and handed the first loss to Nabotov’s MMA career. Nabotov told White he is only 25 years old and has no manager to get support in joining big promotions during the UFC press conference in Abu Dhabi.

It was the first time Colby Covington lost back-to-back fights in his career. Joaquin Buckley defeated Covington via doctor’s stoppage in the third round. Doctors warned the referee to stop the fight and if he allowed Covington to continue the fight then he might lose his eyelids.
