‘For Sake of Desperately Needed Unity’: Trump Teases He’d Bail Out Harris Campaign ‘Debts’

Washington: Days after sweeping the United States Presidential elections, Republican leader Donald Trump trolled his political rival Kamala Harrs that he would bail out her Democratic party to tide over the “financial crisis” that they are facing.

In the name of unity, President-elect Trump urged his supporters to donate to Democrats to help them overcome the “financial strain” in the aftermath of the general elections.

Taking to X, Trump wrote, “I am very surprised that the Democrats, who fought a hard and valiant fight in the 2020 Presidential Election, raising a record amount of money, didn’t have lots of $’s left over.”

In an epic troll, the 78-year-old Republican leader claimed that the Democrats were “being squeezed by vendors and others.”

Giving a call to his supporters to extend a helping hand to the Democrats, Trump further wrote, “Whatever we can do to help them during this difficult period, I would strongly recommend we, as a Party and for the sake of desperately needed UNITY, do. We have a lot of money left over in that our biggest asset in the campaign was “Earned Media,” and that doesn’t cost very much. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!(sic),” he further wrote.

Recently, reports emerged that the Harris Campaign is USD 20 million in debt. “ Kamala Harris ‘s campaign ended with at least USD 20 million in debt, per two sources familiar. Harris raised over USD 1 billion and had USD 118 million in the bank as of Oct 16,” news agency PTI quoted Christopher Cadelago, the California bureau chief of Politico, as saying.

Vice President Kamala Harris , 60, was the Democratic Party’s pick for the presidential elections which was held on November 5. Harris, who lost to Trump in the much-awaited contest, shattered all fund-raising records.

According to Federal Election Commission data, the Harris campaign and its Super PACS raised USD 2.3 billion and spent USD 1.9 billion. On the other hand, the Trump campaign raised over USD 1.8 billion and spent USD 1.6 billion.
