New Delhi: Lionel Messi is one of the best footballers the world has ever seen. There is almost nothing the 37-year-old hasn’t achieved on the football pitch, both for his country and while playing for clubs like Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain. To date, he has scored 856 goals across his career. Currently, he is part of Inter Miami, playing at the MLS football tournament.
While his on-field genius is known to everyone, his move into the world outside football has been making news as well. His recent venture sees him move into vinification as he announced on Wednesday the launch of his line of wine, rightly named 10 GOAT, offered in two varieties, Primitivo and Syrah.

Messi took to Instagram to announce the launch of his line of wines. The Syrah, with white packaging, is from the Sicily region, while the Primitivo, labelled black, is from the Puglia area. All the labels display “GOAT 10” on top of the bottle.
The wine is, of course, crafted to the highest of standards and will attract both the World Cup-winning captain’s devoted fans and wine enthusiasts. This won’t be Messi’s first foray into the industry, having already launched a series of red wines in November. He joins a host of football legends who have gone into the beverage industry, including David Beckham, Ronaldinho, Roberto Carlos and John Terry.
It is understood that the range of wines will be available only online. Messi has collaborated with the Switzerland-based MM Winemaker, who has a rich winemaking heritage and a long connection with the Italian regions of Sicily, Puglia, and Campania. The MM Winemaker is one of the best makers and has earned accolades for their quality winemaking for centuries.
More recently, Messi made a fantastic recovery from injury to play for Inter Miami, who broke the MLS record for most points in the group stage. However, the Herons lost the two-legged quarter-finals to Atlanta United.
