New Delhi: In some good news for depositors, private sector lender, Axis Bank FD interest rates have been revised upwards. As per the Axis Bank website, depositors can get as FD interest rates as high as 7.20 per cent for 17 months to 18 months tenure. Significantly, Axis Bank FD rate for senior citizens can will be as high as 7.85 per cent.
Axis Bank FD interest rates for senior citizens
Axis Bank gives 0.50 per cent additional interest over and above applicable rates on most of its FDs to the senior citizens baring on two term deposits. One is on FDs of 5 years to 10 years tenure while, the other is on tenures of 17 months to 18 months as seen above.
The private lender allows depositors to open term deposits for minimum tenure of 7-14 days. General citizens get three per cent rate of interest on this FD. While, senior citizens will get 3.50 per cent interest on the same FD.
Axis Bank FD interest rates for 10 years
On term deposits of 5 years to 10 years, account holders can get 7.00 per cent rate of interest. Currently, the lender is giving 0.75 per cent additional rate to senior citizens on this FD. So, they will get 7.75 per cent interest. This is the lengthiest tenure for which account holders can deposit money with the private lender
Axis Bank FD interest rate for 1 year
On one-year deposits, bank account holders will get 7.00 per cent interest rate, while senior citizens will get 7.50 per cent rate of interest.
Axis Bank gives interest rate of 7.10 per cent on FDs of several tenures. For example, currently account holders can get this high interest rate on FDs of 3 -5 years tenure, on FDs of 30 months to less than 3 years tenure, on 2 years to less than 30 months time period, on 15 months to less than 16 months tenure and as well as on 16 months to less than 17 months time period. On all these FDs, senior citizens will get 7.60 per cent rate of interest.
