New Delhi: Banks will be observing a holiday in some states on November 15, 2024 (Friday) on the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti/Karthika Purnima, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) holiday list for the month of November 2024 mentioned. The RBI releases its list of regional and national holidays city wise on its website. Banks remain closed on all Sundays, second and fourth Saturday of every month.
Guru Purab Bank Holiday: List of places where banks will remain closed on the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti/Karthika Purnima/Rahas Purnima on 15th November are as follows – Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jammu, Himachal Pradesh, Srinagar, Uttar Pradesh, New Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Chandigarh, Uttarakhand, Mizoram, Orissa, Hyderabad – Telangana, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, and Jharkhand.
November 12 Bank Holiday: Banks will remain closed in Meghalaya and Uttarakhand for Egaas-Bagwaal/Nongkrem Dance.
November 13: Banks will remain closed in some areas of Jharkhand in view of Assembly election.
November 18 Bank Holiday: Banks to remain closed in karnataka for Kanakadasa Jayanti.
November 23: Banks will observe holiday Meghalaya for Seng Kutsnem.
Banks were closed is several states on November 1 on the occasion of Diwali Amavasya (Laxmi Pujan)/Deepawali/Kut/Kannada Rajyothsava/Govardhan Pooja.
November 2: Banks observed holiday in several places on the occasion of Diwali (Bali Pratipada)/Balipadyami/Laxmi Puja (Deepawali)/Govardhan Pooja/Vikram Samvant New Year,
The banks also observed holidays on November 7 and 8 in some states on the occasion of Chhath Puja festival (Evening Arghya) and Chhath (Morning Arghya)/Wangala Festival.
