New Delhi: Former India captain and legendary batsman Sunil Gavaskar turned 75 on Wednesday, July 10. He has played 125 Tests and 108 ODIs for India, scoring 35 centuries and 45 half-centuries. Gavaskar scored 10,122 runs with the highest score of an unbeaten 236 in Test Cricket.
In ODIs, he scored 3092 runs with an unbeaten 103 as his highest score. Gavaskar born in Mumbai, represented his team in 348 First-class matches scoring 25,834 runs with 81 hundreds and a triple century.
He made his Test debut against West Indies on March 06, 1971, and played his last Test against Pakistan on March 13, 1987. During his career, he has shown impeccable consistency against some of the most fierce and one of the best bowling attacks of all time.

4) 205 vs West Indies, 1978, Mumbai
Little Master scored 205 runs including 29 fours and 2 sixes against West Indies in Mumbai and helped the team to post 424 runs in the first innings. He also scored 73 runs in the second innings. The match ended in a draw.
3) 221 vs England, 1978, London
Gavaskar scored 221 runs including 21 fours against England in the 4th test and last Test of the series. In the sixth and final match against West Indies in Chennai, Sunil Gavaskar made his highest Test score of 236 runs including 23 fours. He came into bat at number 4 and helped the team to draw the Test match but India lost the series by 3-0.
