New Delhi: Babar Azam yet again failed to deliver with the bat as he could just muster 3 runs in the opening T20I match between Pakistan and Australia in Brisbane on Thursday. The first T2oI of the series was reduced to 7-overs each after rain played a spoilsport at The Gabba, turning the encounter into a fiery one.
Batting first, Australia scored massive 93 runs in the stipulated 7 overs with Glenn Maxwell leading the charge with 19-ball 43-run knock. His fiery innings included five boundaries and three massive sixes, as he was the leading scorer for the hosts. Meanwhile, after the Aussies wrapped up the swift innings in not time, Pakistan came into action with an attempt to complete a tough chase.
Babar fails to deliver
While much was expected from the prolific Babar Azam and also Mohammed Rizwan, both the players failed to show up with the former departing after 3 runs while the latter heading back to the pavilion for a duck. As soon as Babar walked back, netizens came into action and started trolling the former Pakistan skipper brutally.

Meanwhile, chasing 94 runs, Pakistan could only muster 64/9 in the stipulated 7 overs at The Gabba with tailender and bowler Abbas Afridi top-scoring with unbeaten 20 runs. Haseebullah Khan scored 12 while Shaheen Afridi scored 11 runs after the mainstream batters failed to perform their duties. All the batters were out on single-digit scores or ducks as Aussies took a 1-0 lead in the series after a 29-run win.
