New Delhi: Indian skipper Rohit Sharma and his wife Ritika Sajdeh celebrated their 9th anniversary on Friday. The couple, who got married in December 2015, received lot of love and affection from fans all around on their special day. Both Rohit and Ritika became parents for a second time last month as the couple was blessed with a baby boy. They already have a 6-year-old girl named Samaira.
While Rohit is busy attending to his professional duties in Australia after missing the first Test match at Perth, Ritika took to social media on Thursday to pen down a sweet note for husband Rohit. After sharing few snapshots, Ritika wrote a heartfelt message for Rohit calling him the ‘best husband’. Along with some pictures, she wrote, “Happy 9 baby. Best dad, best husband, best friend and the best I could ever wish for.”
Massive challenge for Rohit Sharma
Times have not been so easy for the India skipper professionally as he has not been able to deliver his best on the field from quite some time now. After skipping the first Test match at Perth, which India won by a massive margin, Rohit came back to lead the Men in Blue in the day-night Test match at the Adelaide Oval. His return wasn’t that effectively as India lost the second match of the five-game series by 10 wickets and Rohit couldn’t perform much with the bat as well.
In the first innings, Rohit mustered just 3 runs while in the second innings, when India required the support of the biggies, Rohit looked shaky in his approach and came up with just 6 runs. After India’s loss, Rohit was criticised heavily for the kind of performance he delivered on the field. There was a outburst of the fans on social media with some demanding an immediate retirement from the captain. Rohit will have to prove himself as a skipper and a batter in the upcoming Test matches, with the Brisbane Test knocking the doors.
