New Delhi: Nitish Reddy slammed a sensational knock of 74 runs off just 34 deliveries in the 2nd T20I between India and Bangladesh at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on Wednesday, October 09. Featuring in his 2nd T20I for India, Nitish went all guns blazing against the visitors after a slow start. The young all-rounder went on a six-hitting spree, taking the Bangladesh bowlers to the cleaners.
Nitish came out to bat at no.4 with India in a precarious position at 25/2 in the 3rd over having lost two quick wickets. The right-hander took his time to settle down in the middle and saw skipper Suryakumar Yadav depart on the other end in the 6th over, leaving the hosts reeling on 41/3. He then combined with Rinku Singh to steady the ship before launching an all-out attack against Bangladesh.
After a sluggish start, Nitish managed to break the shackles with a six off a free hit against Mahmudullah in the 9th over. The big shot saw him find his rhythm as there was no stopping the 21-year-old after it. He launched an onslaught against the Bangladesh spinners to race to his maiden T20I fifty off just 27 balls and finished with a sensational knock of 74 runs.

Nitish and Rinku slammed half-centuries apiece to power India to a huge total of 221/9 on the board in 20 overs. While Nitish scored 74 off 34 balls, Rinku slammed 29-ball 53 which was laced with 5 fours and 3 sixes.
