Here’s Why Trump Characterized Kim Jong Un And Putin As ‘Smart And ‘Streetwise’

Former President Donald Trump has reiterated his admiration for North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and Russian President Vladimir Putin in a recent interview with comedian and UFC commentator Joe Rogan. Trump revealed he once advised Kim to “go to the beach, relax,” despite having previously referred to him as “Little Rocket Man.”

During the conversation, Trump claimed to have formed a close rapport with Kim, stating, “I said, ‘Do you ever do anything else? Why don’t you go take it easy? You’re always building nuclear weapons; you don’t have to do it.’” He even suggested building condos along North Korea’s coastline.

Reflecting on his presidency, Trump insisted that if he had remained in office, Russia would never have invaded Ukraine.

He recounted a conversation with Putin, asserting, “I said, ‘Vladimir, you’re not going in,’” but chose not to disclose the details of Putin’s response, deeming it “inappropriate.”

In the interview, Trump characterized both Kim and Putin as “smart” and “streetwise,” praising their strategic acumen. These comments come amid reports of North Korean troops moving to Russia to fill military gaps.

Additionally, Trump acknowledged having made “bad choices” regarding cabinet appointments, particularly referring to “neocons” and “disloyal people.” His remarks highlight a complex relationship with foreign leaders that continues to provoke discussion within political circles.
