New Delhi: TV actress Hina Khan has been diagnosed with stage breast cancer, the 36-year-old announced the same on Instagram through a post. She took to the platform to share with her fans that her treatment is currently going on and with the support of her friends and family, she said that she will overcome this challenge soon.
“Hello Everyone, To address the recent rumour, I want to share some important news with all the Hinaholics and everyone who loves and cares for me. I have been diagnosed with Stage Three Breast Cancer. Despite this challenging diagnosis, I want to reassure everyone that I am doing well. I am strong, determined, and fully committed to overcoming this disease. My treatment has already begun, and I am ready to do everything necessary to emerge from this even stronger (sic),” she wrote.
“I kindly ask for your respect and privacy during this time. I deeply appreciate your love, strength, and blessings. Your personal experiences, anecdotes, and supportive suggestions would mean the world to me as I navigate this journey. I, along with my family and loved ones, remain focused, determined, and positive. With the grace of the Almighty, we believe I will overcome this challenge and be completely healthy. Please send your prayers, blessings. and love. Love, Hina (sic),” Hina Khan added.
Also the runner up of Bigg Boss 12, Khan revealed that she is doing everything to emerge from the same stronger than before.
What is breast cancer?
Breast cancer is a disease characterised by the growth of abnormal cells in the breast tissue. It can occur in both men and women but the incidence of the same in men is lower – as low as 10% of all cases. It is also one of the most common forms of the disease reported in women living in metropolitan India. Although the disease is largely treatable, doctors advise looking out for the early signs and symptoms of the disease to prevent long-term and irreversible damage to health. Furthermore, timely detection is necessary to stop the tumour from spreading all over the body and becoming metastatic, which can be fatal. In most cases, the cells begin in the milk ducts of the breast.

Stage 3 breast cancer is also known as invasive or locally advanced breast cancer. Its symptoms depend on where the tumour started. The symptoms of stage 3 breast cancer are:
Lump in the breast or armpit that feels like it is attached to chest wall

Redness, scaling, open sores, dimpled skin on the breast
Nipple discharge
Pain in the breast
Unexplained rashes on the nipple
Itching
Inverted, flat nipples
