How fight with Conor McGregor changed Khabib Nurmagomedov’s life?

New Delhi: Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor are two opposite polls in the UFC history. Khabib is one of the fighters in the UFC, who is not a fan of Conor but finally, the Dagestani admits that the Irishman changed his life outside the sport.

The Dagestani is considered as one of the best lightweight fighters in the UFC history and finished his career without a loss. Khabib finished his professional career with a record of 29-0 and announced his retirement early after his father passed away.

Now, Khabib is carrying forward his father’s legacy by a transition in the coaching department. He also plans to hang up his coaching gloves when his students retire from the sport.

What the Dagestani achieved in his career couldn’t be possible without McGregor’s involvement. In a recent interview before the UFC 311 event, Khabib admitted that his super-fight against McGregor changed his life completely.

When McGregor and Khabib’s fight was confirmed by the UFC, everyone on the streets would ask him about the fight. Khabib realized early that this fight would go as one of the best high-profile fights in the UFC.

This thing motivated Khabib and the Dagestani started his preparation not only for his physical side but for his mental side also. He didn’t miss a single training session in 2016 and became the best lightweight champion in UFC history. He was coached by his father through-out his UFC career.

First UFC loss in Nurmagomedov family

Khabib Nurmagomedov suffered a heartbreak loss at UFC 311, when his brother Umar Nurmagomedov lost his fight against Bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili in the co-main event of the night.

This was the first loss in the Nurmagomedov family and their record went 62-1 after Umar’s fight.
