New Delhi: The central government employees are required to submit Jeevan Pramaan Patra/Life Certificate in November to authorised Pension Disbursing Authorities (PDAs) such as the banks, the post offices etc. As per the rules laid down by the government, the pensioners are mandated to furnish a ‘Life Certificate’ to these PDAs in November every year.
The pensions are required to either present themselves personally or by delivering a life certificate in the prescribed format. To remove the hardships particularly for the aged and or/ infirm pensioners, the government introduced the Digital Life Certificate (DLC) for Pensioners Scheme.
Jeevan Pramaan is generated for pensioners using the individual’s Aadhaar number and biometrics.
The Pension Disbursing Agencies process the DLC of the pensioners. The Pension Disbursing Authorities can register on the Jeevan Pramaan Portal to access the Life Certificates on-line. The account sign up facility helps banks, Post Office etc, to process pension orders.
Pre-Requisites for Digital Life Certificate Generation
The pensioner must possess a Aadhaar number
A mobile number should exist in the name of the pensioner
Registration of the Aadhaar number with Pension Disbursing Agency should have been done already
Internet Connectivity
The pensioner can download the Jeevan Pramaan Windows and Android client software from the website. The client software will take care of registration for the life certificate, for authentication it will use the Aadhaar Biometric Authentication platform.
If a pensioner want to download the application, the pensioner needs to provide their e-mail in the online form available at https://jeevanpramaan.gov.in/app/download. This link will only be available after the applicant submits the e-mail address. The pensioner or the operator needs to download the client application as per their requirement.
