New Delhi: EPFO is a government body that monitors the EPF social security scheme which creates a retirement corpus for salaried employees. A company with 20 or more employees has to mandatorily contribute to the Provident Fund. Both employer and employee have to contribute 12 per cent of the basic salary and dearness allowance to EPF. If you change jobs from one employer to another, you will have to transfer your PF account. Following these steps to transfer your PF account online.
How to transfer EPF online?
To transfer your Employee Provident Fund account from your old employer to new employer, you need to follow these steps:
Step 1: Visit the EPFO official website
Step 2: Log in using your UAN.
Step 3: Click on ‘Online Services’
Step 4: Select “One Member – One EPF Account
Step 5: Complete the transfer details in PF Form 13, select the transfer mode, and authorize the request using your Aadhaar-based OTP
Step 6: Print Form 13, sign it, and submit it to your current employer within 10 days.
Step 7: Wait for your employer’s approval. You’ll receive SMS notifications at each approval stage.

How to check EPF transfer status online?
Finally, you should check your transfer claim status. To check this you need to follow these steps:
Log in to the EPFO Member Portal using your UAN and password
Click on “Services” and select “Track Claim Status”.
Enter the reference number provided during your application to view your transfer status.
