Hunters Are About To Get Hunted: Steve Bannon, Former Trump Strategist’s Direct Warning

New York: Just days after Donald Trump ’s historic victory, his former aide Steve Bannon, fresh out of a four-month prison term for contempt of Congress , has issued a strong message to prosecutors pursuing cases against him and President-elect Trump. Standing outside a New York courtroom where he faces additional charges, Bannon said, “You wait. The hunted are about to become the hunters.”

Steve Bannon, a close ally and former strategist for Trump, was jailed for defying a Congressional subpoena related to the January 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol. Refusing to testify, Bannon faced legal consequences, which he completed recently. His fiery remarks came as he returned to court for a separate trial, in which he is accused of conspiracy and fraud.

Bannon, now 70, faces criminal charges in New York on accusations of deceiving donors who contributed money for a border wall along the U.S.-Mexico boundary. Prosecutors allege that Bannon and others misused the funds intended for this cause, accusations Bannon has denied. The case adds to the ongoing legal battles facing Trump allies, underscoring a highly polarized political climate.
