New Delhi: Sai Sudharsan made his T20I debut for India during their second match against Zimbabwe in Harare on Sunday.
India lost the first match of a five-match series by 13 runs at the same venue on Saturday and included him in place of pacer Khaleel Ahmed.
The left-hander had played in three ODIs earlier and is yet to make his debut in Test cricket and became the fourth Indian player to make his T20I debut in the ongoing series.
In the first match, India handed T20I debuts to Abhishek Sharma, Riyan Parag and Dhruv Jurel. Sudharsan was impressive in PL 2024 for Gujarat Titans.
The 22-year-old scored 527 runs in 12 innings at a strike rate of 141.28, to be Gujarat’s leading run-scorer.
India captain Shubman Gill won the toss and opted to bat in the second T20I game at the Harare Sports Club.
