India A suffer second successive loss as Konstas guides Australia A to six-wicket win

New Delhi: Australia A defeated India A by six wickets in the second unofficial Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on November 9, Saturday. The Aussies also won the two-match unofficial Test series by 2-0.

Chasing the 168-run target, Australia A was in a tough position after losing the two wickets in the first over, but Konstas batted brilliantly and finished the match on the third day in Melbourne. He was helped by opener Nathan McSweeney who scored 25 runs and stitched a 49-run partnership for the third wicket.

The Aussies got into a tricky situation again when they lost both Sweeny and Oliver Davis in quick succession but Sam Konstas and Webster forged a 96-run and helped Australia A to win the second unofficial Test. Konstas scored an unbeaten 73 runs off 128 balls while Webster scored 46 runs off 66 balls.
