India level Pakistan for massive world record in T20Is after win against Bangladesh

New Delhi: Team India registered an emphatic victory over Bangladesh in the first T20I of the three-match series played at the New Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium in Gwalior on Sunday. Going 1-0 up in the series, the team notably equalled their arch-rivals Pakistan for a huge feat in T20Is before coming out to chase the 128-run target set by Bangladesh. On the back of the Indian batters, the result was achieved in just 11.5 overs as the hosts pummelled the Tigers by seven wickets.

India invited Bangladesh to bat first and the “new look Bangladesh” were left in deep trouble with early strikes from Arshdeep Singh. More Indian bowlers joined the wicket-taking party, leaving Bangladesh in tatters and restricting them to 127 all-out in 19.5 overs.
