South Indian filter coffee recipe

Ingredients

Coffee Powder: 2-3 tablespoons of freshly ground South Indian coffee (preferably a blend of Arabica and Robusta)
Water: 1 cup
Milk: 1 cup
Sugar: To taste

How to make:

Place the upper compartment of the filter on top of the lower compartment to set the filter right.
Add 2-3 tablespoons of coffee powder into the upper compartment of the filter.
Boil 1 cup water in a saucepan.
Slowly pour the hot water over the coffee powder in the filter.
Cover it with the lid and allow it to steep for about 15-20 minutes.
While the coffee is brewing, heat 1 cup of milk in a saucepan until it’s hot.
Once the brewing is complete, pour the brewed coffee from the lower compartment into a cup.
Add milk to the brewed coffee in the desired amount along with sugar and enjoy your cup of delicious brew.
