New Delhi: Whenever India and England meet on the cricket field, the excitement is palpable. The India vs England rivalry is one of the toughest and most intense in the history of sport and garners a lot of interest among fans from all across the globe.

Fans are in for a double treat in 2025 as the two powerhouses of cricket will face off twice in six months. While England is currently touring India for a white-ball series, India will travel to the home of Three Lions in June this year to start off their World Test Championship 2025-27 campaign.

The five-Test series will begin on June 20 in Headingley, Leeds but the headline fixture will be played at the Lord’s when the two teams clash at the Mecca of Cricket from July 10.

Sold out affair at Lord’s

More than six months before the start of the match, tickets for Days 1-4 have been sold out, underlining the craze and demand to watch the stars of both teams. Lord’s Cricket Ground announced the news on its official X (formerly) handle.

Before the meeting at the Lord’s, both teams will clash at Edgbaston, Birmingham in the second Test starting on July 2. While Lord’s is scheduled to host the third Test, the fourth and the fifth Tests will be played at the Emirates Old Trafford in Manchester and Kennington Oval in London on July 23 and 31.

India aim to start next WTC cycle on a high

After suffering a late collapse in the 2023-25 WTC final race, India will look to start the next cycle with a positive result. The last time India toured England was in 2021 when the series ended in a 2-2 draw.

Meanwhile, in the ongoing T20I series in India, the home side is leading 2-1 ahead of the fourth T20I at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune on January 31, Friday. The final T20I will be played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on February 2, Sunday before both teams clash in a three-ODI series starting on February 6.
