Kashi were stronger in the early phase after kick-off and Prasanth K struck the bar in the 15th minute after being set up by Edmund Lalrindika in a one-on-one situation with BFC keeper Gurpreet Singh Sandhu.
Edmund then came close himself when he smartly controlled an aerial ball in the box but dragged his shot wide of the far post.
Those close shaves sprung BFC into action as Ryan Williams latched on to a floated ball and then rounded Shubham who erred in coming off his line in the 22nd minute.
But backtracking Kashi defenders sparred his blushes as they denied Edgar Mendez to score from William’s lay-off first and then blocked the rebound shot from Noguera from six yards.

Kashi’s response was through as Edmund set up Mario Barco after shaking off his marker on the left channel but the forward failed to connect with the ball properly as anothe chance was squandered.
After the break, Kashi tested Gurpreet several times but he was equal to the task, palming away Nikola Stojanovic’s swerving free kick. BFC took the lead in the 62nd minute as Williams made the most of Noguera’s pass when Shubham again erroneously charged off his line to expose a gaping net where the ball was slotted in.
just when the game seemed to have slipped away from Kashi, they equalised as Matija Babovic sneaked in Aritra Das’ low centre from underneath Gurpreet, sending the match into the shootout where Shubham made amends.
