New Delhi: Shubman Gill unbeaten half century complemented Mohammed Siraj’s four-wicket burst as Gujarat Titans comfortably defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by seven wickets in an IPL 2025 game on Sunday.
After Gujarat won the toss and opted to bowl, they stopped Hyderabad at 152/8 and then reached their target in 16.4 overs with skipper Gill staying not out on 61 from 43 balls, hitting nine boundaries.
He got support from Washington Sundar, who made a 29-ball 49 (5×4, 2×6) while Sherfane Rutherford scored an unbeaten 35 off 16 deliveries with the help of six fours and a six.
Gujarat’s third successive win helped them climb to the second spot with six points from four matches while Hyderabad’s fourth straight loss kept them at the bottom of the 10-team standings with two points from five matches.
Siraj stops SRH at 152/8
Earlier, Mohammed Siraj began where he left of in Gujarat’s last match as his 4/17 helped Gujarat Titans contain Sunrisers Hyderabad’s formdiable batting line-up to 152 for eight.

Nitish Kumar Reddy (31 off 34 balls) and Heinrich Klaasen (27 off 19 balls) tried to arrest the slide with a fifty-run partnership for the fourth wicket.
Klaasen hit several boundaries and a six off Rashid Khan but Sai Kishore sent back the South Africa. Shortly after, Reddy also perished while trying to hit Sai Kishore for a six.
