In one of the most intense attacks from Lebanon in recent days, over 90 rockets were launched toward the Haifa Bay area, targeting towns and communities in northern Israel, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported. The barrage marks a significant escalation as fighting between Hezbollah and Israel intensifies.
The initial attack involved 80 rockets, many of which were intercepted by Israeli air defenses. However, a number of rockets managed to penetrate, landing within populated areas and causing substantial damage to homes and vehicles in the town of Kiryat Ata. Following the first barrage, a second wave of 10 rockets was launched, all of which either hit open areas or were intercepted by the IDF’s defense systems.

Casualties have been reported. Medics from Magen David Adom (MDA) confirmed that a 52-year-old man was moderately injured by shrapnel in the Krayot area. The man, hit in the back, was taken to Rambam Hospital in Haifa for treatment. Additionally, a teenager sustained minor injuries from glass shards, and a 55-year-old man was hurt after falling while running to a shelter.
This incident follows a previous large-scale attack on October 8, 2024, when Hezbollah launched over 100 rockets at Haifa in two separate barrages, further heightening tensions in the region.
In response to the incoming attacks, sirens sounded repeatedly across northern Israel, warning residents in Haifa, Safed, and surrounding areas to take cover. The situation remains tense as Israeli forces continue to monitor and respond to rocket fire along the northern border.
