U.S. Centcom Commander General Michael Erik Kurilla met with Israel’s Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi and held a “situational assessment” amid the war in Gaza.
The footage, which was filmed by the Israel Defense Forces at unspecified location in Israel, showed Kurilla also meeting with other military officers.
According to a statement released by the IDF, Kurilla’s visit focused on several topics including “an emphasis on threats from Lebanon and Iran in the northern arena.”
The statement added that during the visit, Kurilla was “presented with the IDF’s operational plans for Lebanon.”
Along the border with Lebanon, near-daily clashes continued between Israeli forces and the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah.
Attacks by Hezbollah and other Iran-backed groups have increased since the Oct. 7 attack, in which some 1,200 people were killed.
Militants also took about 250 people hostage, with roughly 100 remaining in Gaza, a third of whom are believed to be dead.
Three people were shot and killed Sunday at the border crossing between the West Bank and Jordan, Israeli officials said, in what appeared to be an attack linked to the 11-month-old war in Gaza.
