New Delhi: A massive crowd gathered at the Dubai International Stadium to witness the mega clash between India and Pakistan in the Champions Trophy 2025. The fans broke into loud cheers as star Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah was spotted on the ground.
Bumrah is currently recovering from a back injury that he sustained during the last Test match against Australia in the Border Gavaskar Trophy. However, his recovery didn’t stop him from travelling to Dubai to support Rohit and Co. on Sunday.
Bumrah was present at Dubai International Stadium to collect the ICC awards which he won in 2024. The star pacer won the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy for men’s cricketer of the year 2024 and was also named the test cricketer of the year 2024. He also met with Indian players who were doing their practice after arriving at the Stadium.

‘He is okay’: Bumrah’s wife Sanjana Ganesan
After the injury in Australia, The BCCI asked him to offload work as most of the Indian players returned to the Ranji Trophy. Bumrah was also rested from the three-match ODI series against England earlier this month. The board waited for the final medical reports on his injury as he was named in the provisional squad for the Champions Trophy.
But was ruled out of the tournament on the eve of the deadline date. Ahead of the start of the Champions Trophy, Bumrah’s wife Sanjana Ganesan, revealed that the pacer has already begun training at the National Cricket Academy (NCA).
“He is okay. He is training at the NCA,” Sanjana told Bangladesh’s all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz in an ICC video after he asked, “How is Bumrah?”.
The Men in Blue are facing arch-rivals Pakistan in their second match of the Champions Trophy 2025. India defeated Bangladesh by 6 wickets in the tournament opener and will look to seal a spot in the semifinal by beating Pakistan. On the other side, the hosts will look to keep their Champions Trophy campaign alive after losing the first match against New Zealand by 60 runs.
