Kalki Jayanti Puja Vidhi
Religious scriptures detail the importance of various incarnations of Lord Vishnu, with Kalki being the one destined to appear at the end of Kali Yuga. The Kalki Purana even specifies the location of this divine incarnation. The following is the traditional procedure for performing Kalki Jayanti puja:
On Saturday, August 10th, rise early, take a bath, and make a vow for fasting and puja by holding water, rice, and flowers in your hands. Then, perform an abhishekam (ritual bathing) of Lord Vishnu’s idol (or Lord Kalki if available) with water.
Apply kumkum to the idol. Light a pure ghee lamp, and adorn the deity with a garland of flowers. Sequentially offer roli, rice, abir, gulal, and other traditional items.
Prepare and offer food to the Lord, followed by performing the aarti. Distribute the prasad among the devotees and convey your wishes to the Lord.
By adhering to these rituals, it is believed that peace, prosperity, and happiness will be ushered into the household, ensuring divine blessings throughout the year.
Kalki Jayanti is an occasion of deep spiritual significance, reminding devotees of the ultimate triumph of good over evil and the cyclical nature of time.
