New Delhi: Not every day one gets to remember the great former cricketers of India but… a little girl hailing from a rural area has forced social media to bring into the spotlight India’s fast-bowling great Zaheer Khan. Why and how? It is her passion for cricket as she bowls left-arm fast, just like Zaheer, and even has a very similar action to him. Even legendary Sachin Tendulkar couldn’t keep himself from appreciating the budding talent.
The girl seems to be from a village in Rajasthan as several of her short bowling videos have been posted on an Instagram account “Ishwar Aamliya” which looks to be that of her coach, who runs a cricket academy in the area. Sushila can be seen bowling full tilt in her school uniform and her videos has garnered views in lakhs. People in the comment section are full of praise for the young girl who studies in Class 5.
On Friday, Sachin Tendulkar came across the viral clip of Sushila bowling on the field, bare feet. He was left in awe of the little talent and admired her energy. The Master Blaster took note of Sushila’s bowling action, highlighting that it has “shades” of his former India teammate Zaheer Khan. Sachin reposted the video with his comments, editing it to make it a slow-motion clip, so that the fans can easily identify the similarity between Sushila and Zaheer.
