Lufthansa Airlines Extends Suspension of Flights To Israel Till November 25, Check Details

Berlin: German airline group Lufthansa on Monday said that it would continue to suspend flight operations to Tel Aviv till November 25 as Israel continues to remain in conflict with Hamas and Hezbollah in Gaza and Lebanon respectively.

It also confirmed that Eurowings flights to Tel Aviv are suspended until November 30. The decision was taken after the situation assessment by the airline group. 

Lufthansa Group Issues Statement Over Suspension of Flights to Israel

“The Lufthansa Group airlines Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Lufthansa and SWISS have decided to extend the suspension of its flights to Tel Aviv up to and including November 25, 2024,” an official statement issued by the airline group read.

IDF Issues Evacuation Warning For Residents In Lebanon’s Tyre 

Earlier today, the Israeli Defense Forces issued an urgent evacuation warning to residents of large areas of the city of Tyre in Lebanon, as it prepares to conduct airstrikes on Hezbollah targets in the city on Monday.

“Hezbollah’s activity forces the IDF to act in the area you are in. The IDF does not want to harm you,” Col. Avichay Adraee, the IDF’s Arabic-language spokesman posted on X, alongside a map of the areas that will be targeted.

Israel continued to pound Hamas in Gaza as more than 45 people were killed on Sunday in the fresh strikes, according to an official. 

Meanwhile, Israel also launched precision strikes on Iran’s military bases last week. Israeli warplanes hit several military targets in Iran in retaliation for an Iranian ballistic missile attack on Israel earlier this month.

After pounding Iran with multiple airstrikes, Israel on Saturday concluded its ‘Days of Repentance’ Operation which was launched to retaliate a massive missile barrage on the Jewish state on October 1.

The end of airstrikes was confirmed by the Israeli military on social media platform X.

“I can now confirm that we have concluded the Israeli response to Iran’s attacks against Israel. We conducted targeted and precise strikes on military targets in Iran — thwarting immediate threats to the State of Israel,” said IDF Spokesperson RAdm. Daniel Hagari on a video message posted on X.
