New Delhi: The new luxury watch of Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has been the talk of the town. In a recent Instagram video posted by Zuckerberg, netizens spotted the Bulgari Octo Finissimo Ultra COSC. It is the world’s thinnest mechanical watch, measuring around 1.7mm in thickness which is about the width of two stacked credit cards. What was even more astonishing was its price. The Octo Finissimo Ultra COSC, which is a limited edition production with only 20 units ever to be made is priced at $590,000 (around Rs 5 crore). The Bulgari’s skilful craftsmanship is noticeable in the design of the watch. Around 170 individual parts are present in the ultra-thin case of the watch.
Each piece has a customised case that is not only for keeping the watch but also sets the watch automatically. The watch is extremely accurate. It loses only 0.2 seconds each day which is the lowest for any watch in the world.
Featuring a tungsten carbide main plate and titanium for the bracelet, lugs, and bezel, this watch redefines what is possible in automatic timekeeping. Additionally, it also shows a COSC (Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute) certification. The Octo Finissimo Ultra COSC is for one who likes to collect exclusive items.
