How to Perform Kalashtami Vrat: Puja Vidhi (Ritual Method)
On this day, devotees observe a fast and perform special prayers dedicated to Lord Kaal Bhairav. Begin the day with a bath and wear clean clothes. Take a vow (sankalp) to observe the fast with devotion.
Clean the home temple and place a picture or idol of Lord Kaal Bhairav. Offer flowers, fruits, sweets, and other traditional items. Light a lamp (diya) and read or listen to the Kaal Bhairav Katha (story). Chant his powerful mantras like:
“Om Kaal Bhairavaya Namah”
“Om Hreem Batukaya Apaduddharanaya Kuru Kuru Batukaya Hreem”
