New Delhi: SpiceJet on Friday experienced technical problems which affected ticket booking and check-in functionalities. To overcome the situation, the airline said it has started manual check-in and boarding processes across airports.
The airline requested the passengers travelling today to arrive at the airports earlier than usual as it was taking more than the stipulated time to complete check-in at the SpiceJet counters. SpiceJet apologised to its customers for the inconvenience and assured that it is working to resolve the technical fault.
“We are currently experiencing technical challenges with our service provider, affecting online services including booking, check-in, and manage booking functionalities. As a result, we have activated manual check-in and boarding processes across airports. We kindly request passengers with upcoming travel plans to arrive at the airport earlier than usual to complete check-in at our counters. We sincerely regret for any inconvenience this may cause and assure you that our teams are diligently working with our service provider to resolve these issues promptly. Thank you for your patience and co-operation during this time,” SpiceJet said on X.
Reassuring its customers, SpiceJet acknowledged that it was currently facing a technical issue in providing updates on flight disruptions and it regrets for the inconvenience caused. It informed its customers to update them once the issue is resolved. The airline thanked them for patience and co-operation.
The SpiceJet services are down as Microsoft services are down across the world. Microsoft Teams, Azure and Microsoft 365 aps services are down. Microsoft assured that multiple teams are looking into the problem and it hopes to resolve it soon.
