New Delhi: All eyes are set on Hyderabad as the city prepares to host the much-awaited Miss World 2025 grand finale this evening, marking a historic moment for India. The dazzling event concludes a month-long celebration of global beauty, talent, and cultural exchange across Telangana, where 108 contestants from various countries participated in an array of challenges and charity events.
The event is taking place on May 31, 2025, with a night full of fashion glamour, inspiration and competition to be the top one and take th crown home for the country. The 72nd edition of the prestigious beauty contest will be hosted at the HITEX Exhibition Centre in Hyderabad, Telangana, marking a monumental moment as India hosts the global spectacle.
Adding to the evening’s charm will be the presence of former Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar and the presentation of the Miss World Humanitarian Award to actor and philanthropist Sonu Sood. The current Miss World, Krystyna Pyszková of the Czech Republic, will crown her successor tonight as a prize of victory and honour.
About Miss World 2025
From the four Continental Groups—Americas & Caribbean, Africa, Europe, and Asia & Oceania—10 contestants from each have been shortlisted to advance to the quarterfinals, making up 40 competitors. An additional four contestants, including India’s very own Nandini Gupta, earned their place in the Top 40 through the Multimedia Challenge and other fast-track events like Top Model, Beauty with a Purpose, Sports, and Talent.
The remaining 24 quarterfinalists will be handpicked by the jury panel during the finale. From there, the top 5 will be narrowed down to two finalists per continent, and finally, four contestants will face one last question before the crown is awarded by the reigning Miss World.
