New Delhi: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper MS Dhoni is on the cusp of achieving a huge six-hitting feat in his side’s clash against Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on Tuesday, May 20. Dhoni is just one big hit away from becoming only the 4th Indian batter to complete 350 sixes in T20 cricket.

The 42-year-old wicket-keeper batter has 349 sixes to his name in 403 T20 matches with 7612 runs at an average of 37.68 and a strike rate of over 135. Dhoni needs one more six to become the 4th Indian after Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav to complete 350 sixes in the shortest format. He will also become only the 34th batter overall to achieve the elusive feat.

Rohit, who has smashed 542 sixes in 459 matches, holds the record for the most sixes by an Indian in T20 cricket. He is followed by Kohli (434) and Suryakumar (368) in the second and third spots, respectively. Dhoni is currently 4th on the elite list with 349 sixes to his name. Overall, West Indies legend Chris Gayle holds the record for most sixes in T20s with a staggering 1056 sixes in 463 matches.

Most sixes by Indians in T20s:

Rohit Sharma – 542 sixes

Virat Kohli – 434 sixes

Suryakumar Yadav – 368 sixes

MS Dhoni – 349 sixes*

Dhoni is currently leading CSK in the ongoing IPL 2025 after taking over captaincy from regular skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad, who picked up an injury earlier this season. CSK lost five of their first six matches under Gaikwad before Dhoni took charge. However, the legendary wicket-keeper batter failed to revive his side’s fortunes as they were eliminated from the race for the playoffs after their disastrous run continued.

CSK are currently at the bottom of the IPL 2025 points table with six points after 12 matches. They have won three and lost 9 games already this season. The Men in Yellow will be playing for pride when they lock horns with Rajasthan Royals in a bottom-of-the-table clash in Delhi on Sunday. RR too are out of the playoffs race and are currently at the 9th spot on the table with three wins after 13 matches.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni needs one more six to become only the 4th Indian batter to achieve an elusive milestone in T20 cricket. Dhoni will be hoping to complete the feat in CSK’s clash against Rajasthan Royals in New Delhi on Tuesday.  IPL Sports News: Latest Cricket News, Cricket Live Score, Sports Breaking News from Sports Today
