New Delhi: Team India players are enjoying their long break from international cricket. Suryakumar Yadav recently visited Europe for a family trip while Rohit Sharma was spotted in Mumbai driving his Lamborghini Urus.
Both cricketers recently led Team India during the white-ball tour against Sri Lanka. Suryakumar Yadav led-team won the T20I series by 3-0 while Rohit Sharma and Co. lost the ODI series by 2-0.
Suryakumar is also very active on social media and often provide updates about his daily activities. He recently took to Instagram and posted a story of him watching ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’.
Surykumar recently praised Rohit Sharma by commenting on his Instagram post. Rohit uploaded a video where he was seen getting ready for the CEAT Cricket Rating Awards 2024. The Indian ODI and Test skipper was awarded the International Cricketer of the Year award after leading the team to the 2023 ODI World Cup final and also winning the T20 World Cup 2024 in West Indies.
Suryakumar reacted to the post and commented “मुंबईचा राजा (Mumbai’s king)”. Rohit finished the tournament as the second-highest run-scorer, amassing 257 runs in eight innings at a strike rate of 156.70.
Suryakumar also played a crucial role in Team India’s T20 World Cup-winning campaign. He took the important catch of David Miller on the boundary rope in the final against South Africa and etched his name in the history of Indian cricket. Both cricketers will be back in action during the Test and T20I series against Bangladesh.
‘Got a lot of help from my three pillars’: Rohit Sharma
Rohit Sharma thanked Jay Shah, Ajit Agarkar and Rahul Dravid for their support during the T20 World Cup and said that it was his dream to transform the team.
“It was my dream to transform this team and not worry too much about the stats, the results, to make sure that we create that environment where people can go out there and play freely without thinking too much. That is what was required. I got a lot of help from my three pillars, who are actually Mr Jay Shah, Mr Rahul Dravid (and the) chairman of selectors Ajit Agarkar” Rohit said at the CEAT Cricket Rating Awards.
