New Delhi: Bigg Boss 17 winner Munawar Faruqui is admitted to hospital again. He was rushed to hospital on Friday, 24 May, however, the reason for hospitalisation has not been revealed. In April too he fell sick and took IV drips. After being discharged, he informed his fans that he is recovering but did not reveal the cause of his ill health.
Munawar Faruqui hospitalised
Munawar Faruqui’s friend informed fans about the stand-up comedian being hospitalised. Taking to Instagram story, he shared a picture of Bigg Boss 17 winner lying on a hospital bed. His friend wrote, “Wishing all the strength to my brother, Munawar. Get well soon.” Former Bigg Boss 17 co-contestant Rinku Dhawan also commented, “get well soon”, alongside a series of red heart and hug emojis.
Fans react to Munawar’s hospital pic
Last month, Munawar took to his Instagram broadcast to share a picture in which he was seen hooked to an IV drip and wrote, ” Lag gaye nazar”. Later, he shared an update on his health and thanked fans for praying for him. He wrote on Instagram, “Shukriya itne pyaare messages ke liye. Recovery ho rahi hai, dua karte raho (Thank you for all the lovely messages. I’m recovering. Keep praying).”
Munawar’s legal troubles
In March this year, Munawar along with 14 others were detained during a raid at a hookah parlour in Mumbai. A senior police officer told PTI, “During the raid, the police found stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui and others smoking hookahs at the joint. We also have a video of their act. We detained Faruqui and others, but they were later allowed to go as the sections slapped against them were bailable.”
