No breakthrough over CT

Meanwhile the ICC is yet to find a solution on the impasse of Champions Trophy as the BCCI and the Pakistan Cricket Board remain adamant on their opposite stances over hybrid model in tournaments.

After India’s refusal to tour Pakistan for the Champions Trophy, PCB are also keen for a similar arrangement when the BCCI hosts the next three ICC events.

It is believed BCCI are unwilling to accept it and its superior negotiating position within the ICC for being cricket’s most lucrative commercial market gets them powerful backers like Cricket Australia, whic has invited Shah for the fifth Test beginning on January 3.

But the ICC is yet to convince either the PCB and the BCCI to back down from its stance even after all parties reportedly agreed to shift India’s matches from Lahore to Dubai for the tournament scheduled to begin on February 19.

As a result, the ICC is yet to announce match schedule with only 75 days to go for the tournament.

As per reports, flying in to Brisbane with new ICC chair Jay Shah was BCCI’s joint secretary Devajit Saikia.  Cricket Sports News: Latest Cricket News, Cricket Live Score, Sports Breaking News from Sports Today
