New Delhi: In a viral video of Nita Mukesh Ambani on social media, she was seen enjoying some delicious and most famous also chaat from the streets of Varanasi at the oldest and the most iconic Kashi Chaat Bhandar. Her trip was to visit the oldest city in India to visit and seek the blessings of god at the Kashi Vishwanath temple in Banaras, ahead of Radhika and Anant Ambani’s marriage. She also offered the first marriage invitation to the god at the temple and invited them to bless the couple and start the shenanigans.

While on her trip she enjoyed some delicious snacks and meals famous in the city and also talked to the locals or shop owners and revealed the most loved snack by Mukesh Ambani. In the video that went viral, she said that only she or Mukesh Ambani enjoys home-cooked food but all the members of the family believe in eating mostly home-cooked meals. She also stated that Mukesh Ambani is a pure vegetarian who loves home-cooked food and only believes in eating once a week outside food.

Mukesh Ambani loves to enjoy Gujarati snack rice panki, a dish prepared with rice flour batter topped with cheese, said Nita.

Gujarati rice panki recipe

Ingredients:

1 cup rice flour
1/2 cup yoghurt
1/4 cup water
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 teaspoon ginger-green chilli paste
1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
Salt to taste
A pinch of asafoetida
1 tablespoon oil
Banana leaves
Ghee or oil for greasing

Recipe to prepare: 

In a mixing bowl, combine rice flour, yoghurt, and water to form a smooth batter.
Stir in cumin seeds, ginger-green chilli paste, turmeric powder, salt, and asafoetida into the batter.
Let the batter rest for 10 minutes to allow the flavours to meld together.
Cut banana leaves into square pieces and lightly grease them with ghee or oil.
Place a non-stick pan on medium heat and grease it with a little oil.
Pour a ladleful of batter onto the greased side of a banana leaf and spread.
Place the banana leaf with batter on the heated pan and cover it with another greased banana leaf.
Cook on medium heat for 2-3 minutes until the edges start to leave.
Flip the panki along with the banana leaves and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
Carefully remove the panki from the banana leaves and serve hot with chutney or pickle.
