New Delhi: Team India defeated Bangladesh by 133 runs in the third T20I at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Saturday, October 12 and completed a series sweep against The Bangla Tigers.
After opting to bat, Suryakumar Yadav and Co. smacked Bangladesh’s bowling attack all around the park and scored 297 runs in 20 overs. Sanju Samson notched up his maiden T20I century with extraordinary hitting. He scored 111 runs off 47 balls, his explosive knock was laced with 11 boundaries and 8 maximums. Skipper Suryakumar Yadav also amassed 75 runs off 35 balls with the help of five maximums and eight boundaries. Hardik Pandya and Riyan Parag played crucial cameos in the last few overs.
Chasing the massive target, Bangladesh only managed to score 164 runs in the 20 overs. Mayank Yadav dismissed Parvez Hossain on a duck in the first over. Litton Das and Towhid Hridoy stitched a 53-partnership but other batters failed to contribute in the run chase. Towhid remained unbeaten on 63 runs while Litton also scored 42 runs.
Ravi Bishnoi took three wickets and Mayank Yadav picked two wickets while Sundar and Nitish Reddy also took one wicket each. Earlier, Team India also whitewashed Bangladesh in the two-match Test series.

After the third T20I, Team India captain Suryakumar Yadav said that the team wanted to play selfless cricket and enjoy each others’ performances. He also revealed head coach Gautam Gambhir’s message and said that Gauti bhai told the team before the series that no one is bigger than the team and no matter if you are on 49 or 99 you have to hit the ball out of the ground.
“I think we’ve achieved a lot as a team. Had said wanted to have selfless cricketers and want to be a selfless team, enjoy each others’ performances. That camaraderie is coming off.
