No Place in Tehran Where Israel Can’t Reach: Netanyahu at UNGA | LIVE

Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu has started speaking at the United Nations General Assembly. When he took the podium, supporters of Israel in the audience, started clapping. He began his speech by saying that he hadn’t planned to attend UNGA this year. He stated that he was compelled to attend the UNGA after listening to the lies that were being spoken about his nation.

“Here’s the truth, Israel seeks peace. Israel yearns for peace. Israel has made peace and will make peace again,” Netanyahu said.

The Israeli PM said that Israel will defend itself against murderers, who seek to end civilization”. He went on to add that Israel will not rest until all the hostages are rescued.

Netanyahu went on to warn Iran. “If you strike us, we will strike you. There is no place in Tehran where Israel can’t reach,” he said. The Israeli PM stressed on the fact that there can be no peace as long as Hamas exists.

“If Hamas stays in power, it will regroup and rearm and attack Israel again and again and again as it has vowed to do. Hamas has got to go,” he said.

He asked people to consider, if, after the 2nd World War, someone asked Allied forces to share power with Nazis in occupied Germany, would it be sensible?

Speaking about the conflict with Hezbollah on Israel’s northern border, Netanyahu said that Hezbollah has been attacking Israel viciously. “We have been tolerating Hezbollah, but, now, enough is enough. Hezbollah fired rockets not from military sites, they do that too, but they fired them from schools, hospitals, homes, other public places in Lebanon,” Netanyahu said, highlighting how Hezbollah is putting innocent Lebanese citizens at risk.

“For 18 years Hezbollah brazenly refuses to implement UNSC resolution 1701,” he said.

He clarified that Israel is not at war with Lebanon but with Hezbollah. He stated that operation against Hezbollah will continue until all objectives are achieved. Speaking about moral confusion around the world, Netanyahu said “good is viewed as evil and evil is viewed as good”. Netanyahu highlighted that no army has done what the IDF has done to minimize civilian casualties, by sending them messages ahead of strikes, urging them to vacate the targeted areas.

Netanyahu said that fair and just-minded people are supporting Israel’s sacred cause. He ended the speech by saying that the flame will Israel will always keep burning.(This is a developing story.)
